Overview
Sit Down Propane Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating a propane-powered sit-down forklift to move, stack, load, and unload materials throughout the warehouse. The ideal candidate will have previous forklift experience, follow all safety procedures, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Job Duties:
- Operate a sit-down propane forklift safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks while ensuring product accuracy.
- Move materials and finished goods to designated warehouse locations.
- Stack pallets and materials while maintaining product integrity.
- Perform daily equipment inspections and report any mechanical issues.
- Utilize RF scanners and warehouse management systems as needed.
- Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as assigned.
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience operating a sit-down propane forklift preferred.
- Valid forklift certification is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Basic math and counting skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, and lifting.
- Ability to work in varying warehouse temperatures.
- Ability to safely operate powered industrial equipment.
