What You'll Do as a Technical Assembler:
- Assemble products using hand and power tools to position, align, and fasten parts and units into assemblies, subassemblies, or frame.
- Install wire labels and device tags and work with different styles.
- Review and understand job orders and interact with Epicor, by properly badging in and out of active job orders on the production floor.
- Read, comprehend, and execute processes and procedures according to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) which are necessary to safely and properly operate the equipment and tools required to assemble the product.
- Check completed units to ensure they meet specifications, tolerances, and customer requirements.
- Perform other projects and duties as assigned.
Skills and Experience
What You'll Bring as a Preferred Candidate:
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 1 year of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read instructions, safely operate machines and visually inspect components and sub-assemblies being produced.
- Stand for long periods of time.
- Accuracy and timeliness in completion of work assignments is a must.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on an intermittent basis.
- Must be able to read, write and comprehend plant directives written in English.
- Limited understanding of PLC, VFD and Circuit Breakers.
- Understand and know the differences between NEMA ratings of enclosures.
- Knowledgeable of identifying wire gauges, colors and understanding ampacities.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to effectively use a tape-measure, perform simple mathematics.
- Basic understanding of schematics, mechanical assembly, and electrical assembly.
- Frequent lifting, standing, bending & reaching required
- Able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug test
- Must adhere to all the PPE requirements to perform the job safely, this includes but is not limited to, Eye, Hand, and Feet.
- Ability to work in a team environment while collaborating, troubleshooting and problem solving with coworkers.
