Fabrication Technician

Overview

Seeking a reliable and detail‑oriented Fabrication Technician to operate finishing equipment, saws, and cutting machines to produce high‑quality parts based on client specifications. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands‑on work, problem‑solving, and working in a fast‑paced production environment.

What You’ll Do
  • Set up, adjust, and operate fabrication equipment and saws to cut materials—including metal—to exact specifications
  • Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and measurement tools
  • Inspect materials for defects and ensure precise cuts to minimize waste
  • Organize, package, and prepare completed pieces per order
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment
  • Collaborate with management and operators to meet production deadlines
  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Skills and Experience

What You Need
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders, instructions, and tape measurements
  • Basic computer and math skills
  • Experience using hand tools
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and safety
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple tasks
  • Reliable, self‑motivated, and quality‑driven
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to push, pull, reach, lift, squat, kneel, and bend
  • Lift and move up to 50 lbs
  • Frequent standing, bending, grasping, and repetitive motion
  • Work around moving mechanical parts and occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles
