What You'll Do as a Logistics & Warehouse Specialist:
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate powered industrial vehicles, including forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and order pickers, to load, unload, and move warehouse stock.
- Loading & Unloading: Drive equipment directly into delivery trucks to unload incoming materials and stage outgoing products safely.
- Order Picking & Logistics: Prioritize and accurately pick materials to fill customer orders, verifying incoming and outgoing product types, sizes, and counts.
- Inventory & Paperwork: Assist with periodic inventory counts, handle administrative paperwork, and submit regular reports regarding damaged stock, over/under-shipments, or vendor returns.
- Warehouse Organization: Designate and organize stock by product line and physical alignment, ensuring proper spacing for overflow inventory.
- Physical Demands: Work in a physically demanding, fast-paced warehouse environment. Must be comfortable standing, walking, bending, and continuously lifting up to 50 lbs throughout the full shift.
Skills and Experience
What You'll Bring as a Preferred Candidate:
- Equipment Skills: Prior experience operating material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, order pickers); ability to maintain an operator license if required.
- Safety & Gear: Must have steel-toe shoes for safety compliance on day one.
- Reliability: The manager requires punctual, reliable candidates who will report on time, adhere strictly to the scheduled hours, and be available for the full workday.
- Experience: Prior work warehouse or material handling experience sufficient to work under general supervision.
- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
- Core Skills: Ability to follow oral and written instructions, excellent time management skills, a strong safety mindset, and the ability to maintain cooperative relationships with your team (including DC Supervisors, Leads, and Customer Pick-Up Coordinators).
