Overview
We are seeking dependable and detail-oriented Wood Assemblers to join a growing manufacturing team in Durham, NC. In this role, you will assemble wood components and finished products using hand tools, power tools, blueprints, and measuring devices. Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment and have experience reading a tape measure.
1st Shift Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm $16.00 an hour
2nd Shift Monday - Friday 4:00pm - 12:00pm $16.50 an hour
Skills and Experience
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
- Measure, cut, and assemble wood materials according to specifications
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and production equipment safely
- Verify measurements and ensure product quality standards are met
- Inspect finished products for defects and accuracy
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals
Qualifications
- Previous woodworking, assembly, carpentry, construction, or manufacturing experience preferred
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings preferred
- Experience using hand and power tools
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Basic math and measuring skills
- Ability to lift, bend, stand, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift
- Reliable transportation and excellent attendance
