Overview

 Material Handler is responsible for receiving, storing, moving, and distributing materials, products, tools, and equipment throughout the warehouse or distribution center. This position supports inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, shipping, and receiving operations while maintaining a safe and productive work environment. 

Skills and Experience

  • Receive, store, move, and distribute materials throughout the warehouse. 
  •  Read production schedules, customer orders, shipping orders, work orders, and requisitions to determine materials to be moved or distributed. 
  •  Load and unload products from trailers, delivery vehicles, and storage locations. 
  •  Transport materials from receiving areas to storage, production, or shipping locations. 
  •  Pick and prepare customer orders for shipment. 
  •  Sort and place products on racks, shelves, or bins according to product codes and designated locations. 
  •  Use RF scanners and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to track inventory and process orders. 
  •  Assist with inventory counts, stock replenishment, and cycle counts. 
  •  Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. 
  •  Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations. 
Qualifications

  •  High School Diploma or GED preferred. 
  •  Previous warehouse experience preferred. 
  •  Experience operating warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, or other material handling equipment is a plus. 
  •  Basic computer and RF scanner experience preferred. 
  •  Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. 
  •  Strong attention to detail and accuracy. 
Physical Requirements

  •  Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift throughout the shift. 
  •  Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds. 
  •  Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed. 
  •  Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
