Maintenance Technician – Rubber Manufacturing

Overview

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support the operation and maintenance of manufacturing equipment in a rubber production environment. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on machinery to ensure safe and efficient production.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment and facility systems.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues.
  • Repair and replace defective components, motors, bearings, belts, conveyors, and other equipment parts.
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify potential equipment failures.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders.
  • Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Skills and Experience

Qualifications:

  • Previous industrial maintenance experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment.
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and schematics.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, noise, and moving machinery.
Schedule:
Full-time, with overtime as needed.

Pay:
Based on experience.
