What You'll Do as a Process Technician:
- Set up, start, monitor, and shut down injection molding machines while maintaining established process parameters and production standards.
- Perform mold changes, connect auxiliary equipment, and verify machine readiness for production runs.
- Troubleshoot molding defects and process issues using scientific molding principles to minimize scrap and downtime.
- Complete preventive maintenance on molding presses and auxiliary equipment while documenting work in the CMMS.
- Verify raw materials, color blends, and production specifications before startup to ensure quality and compliance.
- Follow all SOPs, safety procedures, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) requirements during setups, mold changes, and equipment maintenance.
Skills and Experience
What You'll Bring as a Preferred Candidate:
- Associate degree in Manufacturing Technology, Mechanical Systems, or related technical training preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience as a Process Technician in an injection molding manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of scientific molding principles; Paulson or RJG training is a plus.
- Experience with mold changes, process troubleshooting, machine startups, and preventive maintenance.
- Mechanical aptitude with hydraulic systems, pneumatic circuits, hot runner systems, and 3-axis servo automated robotics.
- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while following SOP and LOTO procedures.
