Overview
The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating a sit-down forklift to move, load, unload, and organize materials within a warehouse or production facility. This role supports daily logistics operations by ensuring materials are delivered to the correct locations in a timely and efficient manner while maintaining strict safety and quality standards.
Shift Information
- Shift: 1st Shift (Day Shift)
- Schedule: Monday – Friday
- Start Time: 6:00 AM or 8:00 AM (varies by assignment)
- End Time: 4:30 PM
- Work Type: Full-time, warehouse operations
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a sit-down forklift safely and efficiently in a warehouse environment
- Load and unload trailers, containers, and delivery trucks
- Transport pallets and materials to designated storage or production areas
- Supply production lines with required materials in a timely manner
- Stack, stage, and organize inventory according to warehouse procedures
- Perform daily equipment inspections and report any mechanical issues
- Follow all traffic patterns, safety zones, and company safety regulations
- Maintain accurate handling of materials to prevent product damage
- Must be OSHA certified (or able to obtain certification)
