Overview
The Egg Cart Handler is responsible for safely transporting full egg carts from designated storage or staging areas to production lines to ensure continuous operations. This position plays a key role in maintaining production efficiency by keeping lines supplied with product while following all safety, quality, and food handling procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Push and maneuver full egg carts to assigned production lines.
- Ensure production lines remain adequately supplied with eggs to meet production demands.
- Follow all food safety, quality assurance, and sanitation procedures.
- Inspect carts for damage and report any issues to supervisors.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Communicate with line operators and supervisors regarding product needs and inventory levels.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Assist with other warehouse or production duties as assigned.
Skills and Experience
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to push, pull, and maneuver heavy egg carts throughout the facility.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
Qualifications:
- Previous manufacturing, warehouse, or production experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to work safely and efficiently in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and dependability.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
