Overview
We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Reach Truck Operator to join our warehouse team in Sandston, VA. The ideal candidate will have experience operating a stand-up reach truck in a fast-paced distribution or warehouse environment. This position is responsible for accurately moving, storing, and retrieving materials while maintaining inventory accuracy and adhering to all safety standards.
Skills and Experience
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Safely operate a stand-up reach truck to move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load, unload, stack, and retrieve pallets from warehouse racks and storage locations.
- Pick and stage customer orders accurately using RF scanners.
- Perform inventory transactions and maintain inventory accuracy.
- Inspect equipment daily and report any mechanical or safety concerns.
- Assist with shipping, receiving, and replenishment activities.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all company policies, OSHA regulations, and warehouse safety procedures.
- Support additional warehouse functions as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of recent reach truck experience preferred.
- Experience working in a warehouse, distribution center, or logistics environment.
- Familiarity with RF scanners and warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
- Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen.
- Must be able to successfully pass a background check.
