Overview
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor bag-making machinery and related production equipment.
- Perform machine adjustments to maintain quality and production efficiency.
- Inspect finished products to ensure compliance with quality specifications.
- Troubleshoot minor machine issues and notify maintenance of major equipment concerns.
- Load raw materials and remove finished product from production lines.
- Complete production documentation and quality records accurately.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with safety standards.
- Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE.
- Assist with changeovers, machine cleanings, and preventative maintenance activities.
- Support team members and supervisors with other production-related duties as assigned.
Skills and Experience
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions and production schedules.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
- Frequently lift and move materials up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with moving machinery and varying temperatures.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions and maintain production pace.
Preferred Skills
- Experience operating production or packaging equipment.
- Basic understanding of machine maintenance and safety procedures.
- Forklift experience is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
