Overview

The Floor person is responsible for maintaining smooth operations on the floor by assisting with workflow, supporting team members, and ensuring safety and quality standards are met. This role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast- paced environment.

Skills and Experience

Essential Job Function

Monitor floor activity and assist with daily operations.
Support production or service teams by providing materials, tools, or guidance as needed.
Ensure cleanliness, organization, and safety of the work area.
Communicate with supervisors and team members to resolve issues quickly.
Assist with training new employees or guiding temporary staff.
Perform basic maintenance or troubleshooting of equipment (if applicable). Report any safety hazards, equipment malfunctions, or workflow disruptions.

Job Requirements:

You must be coachable because we want you to succeed!
Must be comfortable with working in a fast-paced manufacturing/production environment.
At least eighteen (18) years of age.
Must pass our multiday orientation class.
Must be legally eligible to work in accordance with federal and state law.
Must have dependable transportation to and from DG Food facilities, no exceptions. Must be able to work various hours/holidays/weekends as required.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive tasks.
Prior experience in a manufacturing or maintenance environment is a plus.
