Overview
Ōnin Staffing is hiring a General Laborer to support production in a metal building insulation facility. This role focuses on material handling, assisting machine operations, and ensuring efficient workflow in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Monday to Friday.
- 1st shift: 7am to 4pm.
Responsibilities:
Material Handling & Production Support:
- Load, unload, and transport fiberglass insulation, facing materials, and finished products.
- Prepare materials for laminator production and assist with changeovers.
- Package unfaced and finished materials for shipment.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks.
- Support Machine Operators and Material Handlers to maintain continuous production.
Safety & Equipment Operation:
- Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely.
- Complete daily forklift inspections and report maintenance needs.
- Safely operate balers, compactors, band saws, and other equipment.
- Ensure materials are stacked and secured properly to prevent hazards.
Housekeeping & General Support:
- Maintain clean and organized work areas.
- Remove debris, pallets, and packaging waste as needed.
- Support production and shipping teams to meet deadlines.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Skills and Experience
- Bilingual in Spanish and English.
- At least 2 years of manufacturing, warehouse, or material handling experience preferred.
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain upon hire.
- Experience with insulation or similar materials preferred.
- Ability to read work orders and follow instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a production environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to safety, organization, and productivity.
