Overview
We are seeking dependable and motivated individuals to join our team as Linen Distribution Associates / Linen Transporters in downtown Richmond. This role is essential to maintaining a clean, organized, and well-stocked linen supply throughout the hospital. It’s a fast-paced, physical position that directly supports patient care.
Skills and Experience
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, sort, and deliver clean and soiled linen throughout the hospital
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery to assigned units
- Follow a set delivery route or schedule
- Safely operate linen carts and equipment
- Maintain organized and clean linen storage areas
- Monitor inventory levels and restock as needed
- Follow all infection control and safety protocols
- Communicate with clinical staff and environmental services teams
- Report shortages, damaged linens, or equipment issues promptly
Job Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and push heavy carts for extended periods
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working in a physical, fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Previous hospital, environmental services, or warehouse experience is a plus (not required)
- Must pass a background check and drug screening
