Skills and Experience
What you’ll do as a Welder:
- Perform MIG welding on galvanized thin wall steel and black carbon steel components
- Square up and weld components of various shapes and sizes
- Read and interpret blueprints, welding diagrams, and work orders
- Apply weld symbols and perform vertical, horizontal, flat, and overhead welds
- Use a tape measure to ensure accuracy and precision
- Prepare welds for finishing by removing spatter, smoothing edges, and checking for defects
- Inspect finished welds to ensure they meet quality standards
Preferred Candidate Might:
- Have previous MIG welding experience (required)
- Be able to read blueprints and interpret weld symbols
- Be comfortable using a tape measure and working with precise measurements
- Have experience welding in multiple positions (vertical, horizontal, flat, overhead)
