Overview
The Sit-Down Forklift Driver / Slitter Helper is responsible for safely operating a sit-down forklift to move metal materials throughout the warehouse and assisting slitter machine operators in processing metal coils. This role involves material handling, machine support, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Skills and Experience
Qualifications:
- Previous experience operating a sit-down forklift (certification preferred)
- Experience in metal processing or manufacturing is a plus
- Ability to read measuring tools (tape measure, calipers, etc.)
- Basic math and problem-solving skills
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended periods
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment (heat, cold, noise)

- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Good communication skills
