Overview
A Mold Setter is responsible for setting up mold beds used in the casting of concrete structures. This role requires reading and interpreting blueprints and drawings to ensure accurate layout of forms, rebar, and blockouts.
Responsibilities:
- Set up forms and prepare mold beds for concrete casting
- Use tape measures to ensure accuracy according to blueprints and drawings
- Assist in pouring, leveling, and finishing concrete with a team
- Utilize hand and power tools as required
- Clean molds and maintain a safe, organized work area
- Handle rebar, wire mesh, and related materials
Skills and Experience
Ability to pass drug screen and background check
Strong ability to read tape measures and blueprints (required)
Basic knowledge of construction math and tools
Ability to perform physical labor (kneeling, lifting up to 50 lbs)
Willingness to work outdoors and in varying conditions
Forklift experience is a plus
Must be reliable, self-motivated, and able to complete tasks thoroughly
Must be available for overtime, including weekends, as needed
Must wear required PPE including steel-toe or EH composite boots
