Overview
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Plant Manager to oversee daily operations in a local warehouse facility. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient production, maintaining high quality and safety standards, as well as leading a team to meet production goals. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of manufacturing processes, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Skills and Experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and manage all plant production activities to meet output and efficiency targets
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Monitor product quality and implement corrective actions when necessary
- Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Lead, train, and supervise production staff and supervisors
- Manage production schedules, labor, and resource allocation
- Oversee equipment maintenance and coordinate with maintenance teams to minimize downtime
- Analyze production data and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste
- Ensure workplace safety standards are followed and promote a culture of safety
- Collaborate with quality assurance, logistics, and supply chain teams
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or related field (preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or processing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory/management role
- Strong knowledge of safety standards
- Experience with production planning and inventory control systems
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
