Overview
Onin Staffing is currently seeking dependable and experienced Casino Custodians for an overnight position in a fast-paced casino environment. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming atmosphere for guests and staff.
📍 Location: Evangeline Downs Casino
💲 Pay: $15.25/hour (Night Shift)
🕒 Schedule: 12:00 AM – 8:00 AM | 32+ hours per week
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize restrooms (6 main restrooms on-site; assignments provided at shift start)
- Maintain cleanliness of public areas, hallways, and surrounding casino floor spaces
- Sweep, mop, and maintain floors and walkways to ensure safety standards are met
- Wipe down surfaces and high-touch areas as needed
- Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, and lost & found items promptly
- Work efficiently as part of a team to support overall cleanliness standards
Skills and Experience
- Previous custodial, janitorial, or housekeeping experience required (6 months–1 year preferred)
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures, equipment, and chemicals
- Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions with minimal supervision
- Reliable with a strong work ethic and consistent attendance
- Ability to lift up to 25–50 lbs, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods
- Good time management skills and ability to complete tasks efficiently
- Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude
- Ability to identify and report safety hazards and maintenance issues
Requirements:
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen
- Must be able to work overnight shift, including weekends and holidays as needed
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Must have a valid ID (LA Wallet not accepted)
