Overview
The CNC (Computer Numerical Control) Operator is responsible for operating CNC machines to produce precision parts and components according to specifications. We are seeking a reliable individual interested in long-term employment.
Skills and Experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC machines (mills, lathes, routers, or grinders) to produce parts to specification.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders.
- Load raw materials into machines and monitor cutting/machining processes.
- Inspect finished products using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools.
- Perform basic machine maintenance and ensure machines are kept in proper working condition.
- Make adjustments to machine settings to improve quality and efficiency.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with safety regulations.
- Record production data, downtime, and quality checks as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred.
- Previous experience as a CNC operator or in a manufacturing environment required.
- Supervisory or team lead experience strongly preferred.
- Desire for long-term, stable employment with growth opportunities.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and blueprints.
- Basic math and mechanical skills.
- Knowledge of measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions.
