Job Summary We are actively seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Horticultural Specialist with a strong background in nursery operations. This role is responsible for plant care, propagation, and maintaining high-quality standards across all plant materials. Candidates must have a degree in horticulture or a related field and hands-on nursery experience. Key Responsibilities Maintain and care for a wide variety of plants, trees, and shrubs Monitor plant health, identify pests/diseases, and apply treatments Perform propagation, transplanting, pruning, and fertilization Manage irrigation systems and ensure proper watering schedules Assist with inventory management and plant organization Provide guidance and recommendations to customers or team members Maintain cleanliness and organization of nursery areas Follow all safety and environmental guidelines Qualifications Degree in Horticulture, Plant Science, Agriculture, or related field (Required) Previous nursery or greenhouse experience (Required) Knowledge of plant identification, care techniques, and pest control Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks Preferred Skills Experience with irrigation systems and greenhouse operations Knowledge of native and ornamental plants Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus Strong communication and teamwork skills Work Environment Outdoor and greenhouse settings Physical work including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods Compensation & Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Opportunities for growth and advancement Benefits package available
