Skills and Experience
What You’ll Be Doing
- Operate shear machines to cut metal sheets, plates, or materials to required sizes
- Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and measurements
- Set up and adjust machine settings based on material type and thickness
- Inspect finished materials to ensure accuracy and quality
- Perform basic machine maintenance and keep work area clean
- Follow all safety procedures and production guidelines
- Work with team members and supervisors to meet daily production goals
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in manufacturing or machine operation preferred
- Ability to read a tape measure and understand basic measurements
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to lift materials and stand for extended periods
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Dependable with a strong work ethic
Experiance
- Operating shear machines, press brakes, or similar equipment
- Working with metal fabrication or production environments
- Reading blueprints or following detailed work instructions
- Using measuring tools like tape measures, calipers, or gauges
