Overview
Position Summary:
The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation across campus facilities, including dormitories, classrooms, offices, and common areas. This role helps ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, classrooms, offices, and common areas
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors
- Empty trash and recycling bins and replace liners
- Clean windows, mirrors, and surfaces
- Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap, and toilet paper
- Report maintenance issues or safety concerns
- Follow all cleaning procedures and safety guidelines
- Assist with setup and cleanup for campus events as needed
Skills and Experience
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Attention to detail and cleanliness
- Reliability and strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Previous housekeeping or custodial experience preferred
Work Environment:
- Indoor campus setting (dorms, academic buildings, offices)
- May require early morning, evening, or weekend shifts
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals and equipment
