Overview
Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable, experienced Warehouse Lead who is comfortable working in all facets of warehouse operations. This role requires strong leadership, solid hands‑on experience with dockwork, and the ability to manage a team while ensuring accuracy, productivity, and safety in a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, picking, packing, and staging of materials.
- Lead, train, and mentor a team of warehouse associates to meet productivity and quality standards.
- Coordinate dock work — load and unload flatbeds, vans, and other transportation.
- Maintain accurate inventory by conducting regular cycle counts and documenting them.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and facility procedures.
- Communicate production needs and updates with management and other departments.
- Support continuous improvement efforts to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
Skills and Experience
- 2+ years of warehouse experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role preferred.
- Solid understanding of basic shipping and receiving processes.
- Ability to operate material‑handling equipment (e.g., forklift) safely and effectively.
- Strong organizational, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Comfortable with physical work, including lifting and moving materials.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) a plus.
Preferred Experience
- Prior experience managing a team in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Experience coordinating dock work and warehouse logistics.
