Overview
The Order Selector in the Freezer Department is responsible for accurately and efficiently selecting, packing, and preparing frozen products for shipment or store replenishment. This role ensures products are handled safely and maintained at proper temperatures to meet quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pick and assemble orders of frozen food products according to invoices or pick lists.
- Verify product codes, quantities, and quality before packaging.
- Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, or other warehouse equipment as needed (training may be provided).
- Maintain proper temperature control while handling frozen items to ensure food safety.
- Load and unload products from trucks or storage areas safely.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the freezer and work area.
- Follow all safety protocols and company policies, including proper lifting techniques and PPE usage.
- Assist team members as needed to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Report any damaged products, equipment malfunctions, or safety hazards to the supervisor.
Shift 3pm- until orders complete (Sunday- Friday )
Skills and Experience
- Previous warehouse, freezer, or food handling experience a plus.
- Ability to work in cold environments for extended periods.
- Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs) and perform repetitive tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays if needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
- Comfortable working in a refrigerated/freezer environment for prolonged periods.
- Ability to safely handle heavy boxes, pallets, and frozen goods.
Work Environment:
- Fast-paced warehouse/freezer environment.
- Exposure to cold temperatures and repetitive manual labor.
