Overview
Onin Staffing is currently hiring Warehouse Checkers / Forklift Operators. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately counting, inspecting, and verifying inbound and outbound freight, ensuring all products meet quality standards and match customer orders.
Responsibilities
- Count and verify all inbound products before storage.
- Compare shipments to the manifest and report shortages or discrepancies.
- Inspect shipments for damage, infestation, and correct production code dates.
- Verify outbound shipments to ensure quantity, quality, labeling, and addresses match customer orders.
- Sign for inbound shipments or accept signatures for outbound shipments when required.
- Safely operate a forklift or other material handling equipment when needed.
- Assist with loading and unloading merchandise.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse area.
- Participate in inventory counts.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Skills and Experience
Required
- Ability to work the assigned 1st shift schedule
- Ability to follow safety procedures and work instructions
- Ability to read and understand English to identify products
- At least 6 months of warehouse experience
- Ability to lift or move up to 100 lbs when necessary
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, climb, and stoop throughout the shift
- Ability to mount and dismount forklifts during the shift
Preferred
- Experience using automated inventory control systems
