Overview
Pick orders by reading and interpreting pick tickets; complete necessary paperwork accurately.
Move products to cutting and shipping areas as required.
Perform pre-shift forklift inspections, including battery maintenance when necessary.
Safely operate forklifts, reach trucks, and motorized pallet jacks to maneuver products throughout the warehouse.
Load and unload shipments from carrier vehicles and store materials in designated storage areas.
Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate, undamaged, and properly documented.
Label, sort, wrap, pack, and repack materials as needed.
Repair pallets when necessary.
Efficiently stage and move products to the correct dock doors and trailers.
Ensure trailers are secured and properly chocked before entry in accordance with safety policies.
Process inbound paperwork per company procedures.
Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
Assist in maintaining warehouse security.
Promote and follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Work collaboratively as part of a team.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills and Experience
Forklift operation and certification
Warehouse safety compliance (OSHA/MSDS standards)
Shipping and receiving procedures
Order picking and packing accuracy
Inventory management and product staging
Equipment inspection and maintenance
Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, scanners, or ERP systems)
Attention to detail
Time management and multitasking
Communication and teamwork
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Problem-solving skills
Material handling and product movement
Work efficiency in fast-paced environments
