Ready to put your welding skills to work building equipment that supports essential crews? Our client in Creedmoor manufactures and assembles utility crew trucks, and they’re looking for an experienced Production Welder to join their 2nd shift team!
- $24.10 – $27.66/hour
- PLUS $2.00/hour 2nd Shift Differential
- Monday–Friday 3:00 PM – 1:30 AM
What You’ll Do
As a Production Welder, you will use hand-welding and flame-cutting equipment to weld or join metal components used in the manufacturing and assembly of utility crew trucks.
- Perform MIG (GMAW) welding in flat or vertical positions
- Set up and operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment
- Clamp, tack, grind, bolt, and align components prior to welding
- Inspect welds and measure workpieces to ensure quality standards
- Read and interpret blueprints
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE
Skills and Experience
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED REQUIRED
- This will be verified by a third-party screening provider.
- Minimum 3 years of welding experience
- Proficiency in MIG welding and pulsarc welding machines
- Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools
- Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment
Candidates must successfully complete a weld certification test covering:
- Process: GMAW – Pulse (Spray transfer)
- Wire: ER70S-6 (.052 diameter)
- Position: 2G (Horizontal)
- Material: 1" A36 plate with single V-groove & backing
- Test Method: Guided bend (AWS D1.1 compliance)
