Repair Technician-La Vergne, TN

Overview

A Repair Tech fixes servers by following work instructions, disassembling/reassembling
units, replacing parts, using test equipment, documenting repairs in a QMS system, and
reporting issues to engineering to maintain quality and meet production goals
Maintain cooperative, diplomatic working relationships with co-workers, supervisor.
● Work as part of the team and collaborate with co-workers and colleagues.
● Responsible for reading, understanding and following all Work Instructions (WI’s)
for each function performed.
● Works in compliance with safety and all other training.
● Adheres to and supports QMN’s Corporate Policies and Procedures.
● Disassembles and/or reassembles units according to the applicable work
instructions.
● Tests units according to work instructions and process flows.
● Responsible for inspecting products to ensure it is labeled correctly.
● Responsible for completing applicable paperwork completely and accurately.
● Responsible for entering data accurately into the QMS shop floor system.
● Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment by identifying all
safety hazards and recommending corrective actions when necessary.
● Responsible for utilizing proper lifting and material movement techniques at all
times.
● Actively works to improve processes in the company.
● Performs other duties as directed by management

Skills and Experience

● Six (6) months experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
● One year of experience in an industrial environment preferred.
● Computer literate in a Windows Environment and Internet.
● Basic math skills.
● Accurate counting skills.
● Detail oriented.
● Good organizational skills.
● Ability to work as part of a team.
● Must be self-motivated with ability to use own initiative.
● Flexibility to change direction frequently with little notice.
● Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
● Able to complete projects under tight deadlines.
● Legible handwriting.
● Strong written and verbal communication skills.
● Strong interpersonal skills.
● Able to maintain confidentiality.
● Able to handle routine assignments of a repetitive nature.
● Able to perform repetitive motion with hands and arms.
● Good visual acuity.
● Ability to recognize defects or flaws in routine parts and/or products.
● Must be able to work overtime.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

● Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
● Able to squat to lift boxes weighing up to 50 pounds.
● Able to stand, stoop and bend.
● Ability to walk and stand on cement floors for long periods.
● Able to work in warehouse environment.
● Able to handle routine assignments of a repetitive nature.
● Able to perform repetitive motion with hands and arms
● Able to wear ESD gloves.
Operators are to perform the task of receiving, assembly, disassembly and test of
products as may be directed.
