What You’ll Do as a Lead Equipment Operator:
- Operate and monitor production equipment according to standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Oversee daily equipment operations to ensure safe and efficient production
- Lead and support production operators during shifts
- Assign tasks and provide guidance on equipment operation and safety practices
- Perform equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance
- Troubleshoot equipment and operational issues to minimize downtime
- Coordinate repairs and communicate maintenance concerns as needed
- Monitor production output and product quality standards
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety and environmental regulations
- Complete production logs, maintenance records, and operational documentation
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and efficient workflow processes
Skills and Experience
What You’ll Bring as a Preferred Candidate:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 3–5 years of equipment operation or manufacturing experience preferred
- Previous lead or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
- Experience using hand and power tools
- Basic computer skills including Windows, Excel, and production reporting systems
- Ability to work in industrial manufacturing or processing environments
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physically demanding work
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
- Ability to work day/night/weekend or rotating shifts
- Preferred Industry Experience: Battery manufacturing, Chemical processing, Cleanroom or industrial production environments, Green energy or sustainable materials operations.
