What You’ll Do as a Facilities Maintenance Tech:
- Perform general facility maintenance and repairs throughout the manufacturing plant
- Paint, repair, and remodel office spaces and common areas
- Remove, relocate, and dispose of old or unused office equipment and furniture
- Perform basic plumbing maintenance, including repair and replacement of fixtures (sinks, toilets, faucets, etc.)
- Install, remove, and maintain interior and exterior signage
- Conduct general cleanup tasks, including debris removal and maintaining orderly workspaces
- Identify maintenance issues and perform timely repairs or report larger issues as needed
- Assist with light carpentry, drywall repair, and minor electrical work as appropriate
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area
- Support special projects and facility improvements as assigned
Skills and Experience
What You’ll Bring as a Preferred Candidate:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 2+ years of experience in facilities maintenance, handyman work, or a related trade
- Working knowledge of basic plumbing, carpentry, painting, and general repairs
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Comfortable working in an older manufacturing environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and perform physical tasks
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team
Skills That Will Help You Stand Out:
- Experience in manufacturing or industrial facilities
- Basic electrical knowledge
- Forklift or lift certification (or willingness to be trained)
