What You’ll Do as a Janitor:
- Responsible for the evening or overnight upkeep of campus facilities, ensuring that every classroom and common area is sanitized, organized, and ready for the next day of learning.
- Perform general cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming hallways and classrooms.
- Sanitize and disinfect restrooms, breakrooms, and high-touch surfaces.
- Collect and dispose of trash and recycling throughout the campus buildings.
- Monitor and restock essential supplies such as paper towels, soap, and sanitizer.
- Ensure the facility is secure by checking that doors and windows are locked after cleaning.
Skills and Experience
What You'll Bring as a Preferred Candidate:
- Ability to work independently and stay on task during late-night shifts.
- Strong reliability and a commitment to being on time for every shift.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift up to 30 lbs as needed.
- Attention to detail to ensure the campus remains a clean environment for students and faculty.
- Previous custodial or housekeeping experience is a plus, but we are happy to train motivated teammates!
