Overview
This is an excellent opportunity to learn and support the full lifecycle of custom fiber optics assembly, inspection, and testing. This role directly contributes to the rapid expansion of products used in:
- AI data centers
- Industrial applications
- Federal and military programs
Candidates will work on-site at the Richmond, VA facility and will receive hands-on training across multiple stages of production to ensure high-quality custom fiber optic solutions.
Location: Richmond, VA - Cable Plus USA
Schedule: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM (On-site)
Breaks: 1-hour lunch + morning and afternoon breaks
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret assembly drawings, bills of material, and specifications.
- Prepare kits for each custom job or project.
- Build custom fiber optic assemblies using standard and specialized procedures.
- Learn and apply fiber optic ribbonizing methods.
- Produce data center fanout assemblies.
- Apply TIA fiber optics specifications and create various polarity types.
- Use industry-standard fiber optic techniques and quality methods.
- Perform single-fiber, multi-fiber, and military-grade terminations.
- Diagnose issues and complete product repairs.
