Overview
The Cabinet Installation & Electrical Testing Technician is responsible for performing the final assembly steps, quality inspections, and functional electrical testing of completed traffic control cabinets. This role requires strong electrical skills to ensure products meet safety, reliability, and quality standards before delivery.
- Read and interpret point-to-point electrical diagrams, bills of material, and production instructions.
- Accurately terminate, route, and secure wires at designated locations per electrical schematics.
- Solder wires to specified points and rework wiring harnesses when required.
- Conduct final quality checks and inspections of electrical systems and cabinet assemblies.
Skills and Experience
- Skilled in assembling and troubleshooting electrical systems and wire harnesses
- Ability to use soldering techniques and termination connectors accurately
- High attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
- Associate's degree in Electronics, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred; or equivalent experience with electrical schematics and systems
- Must be able to lift upwards of 50lbs
- Must pass pre-employment background check
- Must pass pre-employment drug test
- Must be Authorized to work in the United States
