What You’ll Do as a Slitting Machine Operator
You’ll be responsible for operating wide-web roll slitting equipment while maintaining safety, quality, and production standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Operate the wide-web roll slitting machinery safely and efficiently
- Follow SOPs and technical instructions provided by supervisors
- Load and unload material rolls safely
- Accurately label rolls and complete required documentation
- Inspect materials visually and physically to meet quality standards
- Meet daily and weekly production goals
- Support safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Follow all health, safety, and housekeeping procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Moderate noise environment
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing, reaching, kneeling, and crawling
- Requires close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
Skills and Experience
What You Need to Succeed
- Attention to detail and strong work ethic
- Ability to lift 25–50 lbs regularly
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, SOPs, and procedure manuals
- Solid reasoning skills to follow written, verbal, or diagram instructions
- Basic computer skills
- Forklift operation may be required (training provided)
