What You'll Do as a Machinist:
- Operate and maintain lathe and milling machines with expertise.
- Review blueprints, CAD files, and sketches to ensure accurate production.
- Take precise measurements and select the proper machine settings for each task.
- Plan, monitor, and execute production tasks, adjusting feeds and settings as needed.
- Perform quality assurance checks, documenting or discarding defective outputs.
- Conduct machine maintenance and minor repairs to ensure optimal performance.
- Maintain a safe, clean workstation and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
Skills and Experience
What You'll Bring as a Preferred Candidate:
- Minimum of 1-year experience with machine tools or mechanical assembly
- Ability to read blueprints, CAD files, and sketches
- Excellent coordination and mechanical abilities
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and safety protocols
- Proficient math and basic computer skills
- Solid verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, use hands for precision tasks, and lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
