Overview
We are seeking a responsible and reliable Automotive Mechanic to join a transmission and repair shop. The ideal candidate will have experience with general automotive repairs and maintenance, with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently.
Skills and Experience
Experience Needed:
- Hands-on experience in general automotive repair and maintenance (oil changes, brakes, suspension, engine work, etc.)
- Experience diagnosing and troubleshooting vehicle issues
- Familiarity with using diagnostic tools and repair equipment
- Previous work in a transmission or auto repair shop preferred (but not required)
- Experience following safety procedures in a shop environment
Skills Needed:
- Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and follow repair manuals and technical instructions
- Good communication skills to explain issues and repairs
- Time management and ability to handle multiple tasks
- Attention to detail and quality of work
- Dependability and responsibility — showing up on time and completing tasks correctly
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
