We are seeking an experienced Aluminum MIG/TIG Welder to join our advanced manufacturing facility in Mooresville, NC, delivering high-integrity components with tight tolerances, clean aesthetics, and uncompromising durability.

What You’ll Do as an Aluminum MIG TIG Welder
- Perform high-quality MIG and TIG welding primarily on aluminum assemblies, as well as steel and alloy components, to strict structural and visual standards.
- Accurately read and interpret engineering drawings, assembly blueprints, dimensional tolerances, and standard weld symbols.
- Cut, deburr, clean, fixture, clamp, and tack-weld parts into proper alignment prior to final welding to control heat distortion.
- Safely operate fabrication shop equipment, including band saws, drill presses, grinders, tube benders, and plasma cutters.
- Inspect fit-up and completed welds using calipers, height gauges, fillet gauges, and squares to verify conformance with engineering specifications.
- Set and adjust machine parameters—including amperage, voltage, wire speed, and gas flow rates—and perform routine preventive maintenance on welding equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and strictly adhere to all shop safety protocols, PPE requirements, and hot-work guidelines.
Skills and Experience
What You’ll Bring as a Preferred Candidate:
- 3+ years of professional hands-on MIG and TIG welding and metal fabrication experience, with demonstrated expertise in aluminum alloys.
- Deep understanding of aluminum metallurgy, joint prep, oxide removal, and heat control to eliminate porosity and cracking.
- High proficiency in reading blueprints, understanding basic GD&T callouts, and executing weld symbols accurately.
- Ability to pass hands-on weld testing.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, basic shop math skills, and confidence using standard precision measuring tools.
- Pride in craftsmanship, self-direction, reliability, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a high-tempo production setting.
