What You'll Do as a Forklift Operator:
- Safely operate a forklift to move materials, products, and supplies throughout the facility.
- Load, unload, and transport materials to designated storage and production areas.
- Stage materials and finished products to support daily production and shipping needs.
- Verify material quantities and check for visible damage during handling.
- Keep inventory and materials organized to maintain an efficient workflow.
- Follow proper forklift operating procedures and all workplace safety requirements.
- Perform basic equipment inspections and report maintenance concerns to a supervisor.
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and clear travel paths.
- Communicate with team members to coordinate material movement and meet production goals.
Skills and Experience
What You'll Bring as a Preferred Candidate:
- Previous forklift operating experience preferred.
- Forklift certification is a plus; willingness to complete required training is beneficial.
- Ability to safely move materials in a busy manufacturing or warehouse environment.
- Good attention to detail when handling and staging products.
- Ability to follow instructions and established safety procedures.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the workday and lift materials as required.
