Overview
We are seeking a skilled Extrusion Machine Operator with at least 1 year of experience to join our production team. This role operates on a Monday–Thursday schedule, 5:00 PM – 5:00 AM, offering a consistent 4-day workweek.
The Extrusion Machine Operator will be responsible for setting up, monitoring, and adjusting extrusion machinery to ensure products meet quality and production standards. Key duties include inspecting and operating equipment such as extruders, screen changers, pelletizers, and chilling systems; performing quality checks; maintaining accurate production logs; and ensuring a safe, clean work environment.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and able to troubleshoot and make quick adjustments when needed. Flexibility to learn additional machinery and assist with coverage for absences is required. Strong teamwork, safety awareness, and adherence to company procedures are essential.
Skills and Experience
High school diploma or GED
* At least one (1) year of experience running an extruder machine in a manufacturing environment.
* Able to be trained on and comprehend the mechanics of machine operation; must be mechanically inclined.
* Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, and multiplication.
* Able to lift up to 70 lbs.
* Willing to become forklift certified via company training.
* Machine maintenance experience is a plus.
