Overview
Description
Press brake operators produce parts and tools from metal using a press brake, a computer numeric
controlled (CNC) piece of equipment that makes precision bends. The use of hand tools such as dial
calipers, bar micrometer, squares and protractors. Converting decimals to fractions is also part of the
daily tasks.
Skills and Experience
Experience
Must have Press Brake Experience (2-4 years minimum) Operates Computer Numerical Control (CNC) on respective AMADA brand equipment. HDS, HG Press Brake or Cincinnati Press Brake a plus Performs machine set-ups, adjusting and loading tooling, and making changes at the controls for parts as required for specifications set forth in blueprints, drawings, engineering orders, etc. Requires excellent math skills including fractions, and geometry Requires ability to read measuring equipment, calipers and other tools Requires ability to read blueprints and calculate bend allowances Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. routinely
