We are hiring an Entry-Level Mechanical Design Engineer for an automotive manufacturing company in the Huntsville area.
This position is ideal for an early-career engineer interested in gaining hands-on experience with mechanical design, manufacturing equipment, tooling, and production processes.
Responsibilities
- Create and modify mechanical designs and engineering drawings
- Assist with the design and development of jigs, fixtures, and manufacturing tooling
- Develop and review 2D and 3D drawings
- Support automotive manufacturing and production processes
- Work closely with engineering, production, and quality teams
- Troubleshoot mechanical and design-related issues
- Support continuous improvement projects
- Ensure designs meet manufacturing, quality, and safety requirements
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Design, or a related field
- Entry-level and early-career candidates encouraged to apply
- Experience or familiarity with jig and fixture design preferred
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Familiarity with CAD or mechanical design software
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Automotive or manufacturing experience is a plus
