Overview
We’re looking for a dependable Forklift Operator to support shipping, receiving, and daily warehouse operations. This role involves moving freight safely, organizing inventory, and maintaining accurate shipment records.
Skills and Experience
Responsibilities
- Load and unload trucks using a forklift and by hand.
- Sort freight by location, palletize shipments, and stock inventory.
- Read and document packing slips and Bills of Lading.
- Scan inbound and outbound shipments.
- Record driver information and trailer seal numbers.
- Complete daily forklift inspection checklists.
- Follow warehouse procedures and assist in other operational areas as needed.
Qualifications
- Successfully complete the required forklift training and certification program.
- Ability to operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely.
- Ability to communicate in English and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to read shipping documents, logs, and schedules.
- Basic counting, addition, and subtraction skills.
- High school diploma, equivalent training, and/or at least six months of related experience preferred.
- Physical Requirements
- Walk, push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds; heavier items may require assistance.
- Work in a warehouse with changing temperatures, moderate noise, dust, and dirt.
