Overview
The forklift operator ensures products are stored in designated locations, assists with inventory accuracy, and maintains a clean and organized work area. The position requires strict adherence to all company safety policies, forklift operating procedures, and OSHA guidelines to help maintain a safe and accident-free work environment. The operator is also responsible for inspecting equipment before use, reporting any equipment or safety concerns, and handling materials with care to prevent damage or injury.
Skills and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 1 year of forklift operating experience.
- Must have previous OSHA Forklift Certification.
- Comfortable performing computer-based tasks and working with SAP.
- Must be able to work the scheduled shift and rotating Saturdays.
- Safely operate sit-down forklifts to move, load, unload, and stack materials.
- Transport merchandise and materials to designated warehouse locations.
- Load and unload trailers while following proper safety procedures.
- Verify product quantities, labels, and locations as needed.
- Assist with inventory movement and accuracy.
