What You’ll Do as a Material Handler:
- Unload inbound shipments, inspect packages for damage, verify item counts against bill of lading/packing slips, and process receiving documentation.
- Sort, label, and stage materials in designated warehouse locations to prepare them for putaway or order fulfillment.
- Accurately pick items using pick sheets or handheld RF scanners, consolidate orders, wrap pallets, and prepare shipments for outgoing freight.
- Perform routine count checks, report stock discrepancies, and maintain accurate inventory placement within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace by keeping aisles clear, removing trash/packaging materials, and following standard 5S practices.
Skills and Experience
What You’ll Bring as a Preferred Candidate:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred; prior warehouse, material handling, or distribution experience is a plus.
- Basic computer skills; experience with handheld RF scanners or WMS systems preferred.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs unassisted; ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach for extended periods in a non-climate-controlled environment.
- Strong attention to detail, basic math and reading comprehension skills, a dependable attendance record, and a strong safety-first mindset.High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred;
