Job Description
We’re looking for a dependable and hardworking Mill Operator to join a fast-paced rice processing operation. This position is responsible for monitoring first-floor processing equipment, maintaining a steady flow of grain, performing quality checks, and helping ensure the mill operates safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities include:
- Monitor and operate first-floor rice processing equipment
- Ensure a continuous flow of grain through the processing operation
- Monitor equipment and identify potential issues or blockages
- Perform routine quality checks and report concerns
- Assist with basic equipment troubleshooting and maintenance
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow all safety, quality, and dust-control procedures
- Work closely with other members of the milling team
Skills and Experience
About the Ideal Candidate
We’re looking for someone who is reliable, adaptable, mechanically minded, and comfortable working in a hands-on production environment.
The ideal candidate:
- Is fully available to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including both days and nights
- Can stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
- Is comfortable lifting and moving heavy bags and materials
- Can work in a loud, dusty, non-climate-controlled environment
- Has basic mechanical aptitude and enjoys troubleshooting equipment
- Is observant and able to recognize equipment or quality issues
- Takes safety and cleanliness seriously
- Is dependable, punctual, and willing to learn
- Can work independently while also being a strong team player
