Overview
This position has a lot of OT available, with working on a Saturday (half day) We are looking to advance this role to a vault driver position and we will increase pay.
- Drive company vehicles to transport burial vaults and related materials to cemeteries and service locations.
- Load, secure, transport, and unload concrete burial vaults safely.
- Assist with the setup and placement of burial vaults at cemetery locations.
- Operate equipment such as forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
- Perform physical labor, including lifting, moving, and positioning heavy concrete products.
- Assist with manufacturing, pouring, molding, finishing, painting, and engraving burial vaults when needed.
- Inspect products for quality and ensure vaults are properly prepared for delivery.
- Follow all company safety procedures and transportation regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, truck, and equipment.
- Complete delivery paperwork and maintain accurate records.
- Communicate professionally with cemetery personnel, funeral homes, and customers.
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Be available for overtime and occasional Saturday work as needed.
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience driving a work vehicle, delivery truck, or similar vehicle preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Experience safely loading, securing, and transporting heavy materials preferred.
- Previous experience with concrete, construction, manufacturing, or warehouse work is a plus.
- Experience operating a forklift or other material-handling equipment preferred.
- Comfortable performing heavy physical labor and lifting/moving heavy materials.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to safety and ability to follow established procedures.
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and customer-service skills.
- Willingness to work overtime and occasional Saturdays as needed.
