Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented Shipping & Quality Control Associate to join our team. This position combines shipping coordination, data entry, documentation, and quality inspections.
The ideal candidate is organized, comfortable working with computers and spreadsheets, and able to follow detailed procedures in a fast-paced production environment.
What You'll Do
- Enter and maintain accurate information in company databases
- Coordinate and update shipments using domestic and international shipping systems
- Enter and update records throughout all stages of production
- Review and work with Excel spreadsheets and other Microsoft Office applications
- Make changes and updates to shipments and shipping documentation as needed
- Respond to emails and communicate with the appropriate departments
- Follow company procedures and stay current with updated shipping requirements
- Follow requirements related to Hazardous Materials (HazMat) shipping
- Complete assigned training and follow established procedures
- Assist with quality control inspections and documentation
- Inspect materials during the pre-assembly process to ensure they meet specifications before production
- Follow inspection sampling plans and quality control procedures
- Use basic inspection tools and equipment as needed
- Accurately complete inspection paperwork and documentation
- Communicate any quality issues or concerns to the appropriate team members
Skills and Experience
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organizational and time-management skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable using computers and Microsoft Office
- Ability to read and follow detailed procedures and instructions
- Ability to work independently while also working as part of a team
- Ability to identify and communicate problems or discrepancies
- Previous shipping, logistics, manufacturing, quality control, or data-entry experience is a plus
- Experience with HazMat shipping is a plus
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 55 lbs.
- Ability to perform repetitive inspection and documentation tasks
- Ability to use basic tools/equipment for quality inspections
