Overview
The Extrusion Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating plastic extrusion machinery to produce quality plastic products according to production schedules, customer specifications, and established quality standards. The operator will monitor machine performance, maintain proper process conditions, perform routine adjustments, identify production issues, and ensure that finished products meet required specifications.
Skills and Experience
- Previous manufacturing, machine operation, or plastic extrusion experience preferred.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and production equipment.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions, production orders, and process specifications.
- Basic math skills, including measurements, fractions, percentages, and unit conversions.
- Ability to use basic measuring tools such as calipers, tape measures, scales, or gauges.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
- Ability to work safely around industrial machinery and manufacturing materials.
